Fire guts furniture shop in Miyapur; property worth lakhs destroyed
A major fire broke out at a furniture shop in Miyapur, Hyderabad, destroying property worth several lakhs of rupees. Firefighters took several hours to control the blaze, which is suspected to have been caused by a short circuit.
Hyderabad: Property worth lakhs of rupees was gutted down in a fire incident reported at Miyapur on Thursday. No casualties are reported so far .
According to the fire department officials ,the fire broke out at a furniture shop located near the Cavalry temple Miyapur early on Thursday.
On information the fire tenders from nearby station rushed to the spot and doused the fire. It took several hours for the firemen to bring the fire under control as lot of combustible material was stored in the shop.
The fire officials said that the fire could have started following a short circuit.
