Hyderabad: The first Telugu wildlife documentary that showcases the beauty and threats faced by a grassland patch near Mominpet, which falls under Ramnathgudpalle Village and is known as the Ramnathgudpalle Grassland, is all set to premiere soon.
The Ramnathgudpalle Grassland is one of the largest grassland ecosystems in Telangana and is home to blackbucks, wolves, foxes, and many migratory and resident bird species. The documentary, titled “Indian Fox – Fighting Habitat Loss”, follows the story of a male Indian fox as he navigates the grassland, raises his pups, coexists with cattle grazers, and faces threats from non-resident human activities.
The film is narrated in Telugu by actor Navdeep. Along with making the documentary, the makers have also submitted multiple conservation proposals over the last three years to the Forest Department and Biodiversity Board, requesting protection for this unique landscape.
According to the director of the documentary, Chinnaboina Pradeep Kumar, the official poster of the documentary was unveiled recently. The cinematography was handled by Ch. Avinash, PVR Harikrishna, Sanjay K, and Pradeep Kumar. The documentary also has some gripping aerial footage, handled by Sanjay and Sujeeth Thalwar, while the script is from Pranay Juvvadi, Prashanth Gopi Veer, and Sanjeev Siva.
Director Pradeep Kumar and Rupak Ronaldson have done the editing for the documentary, which will be a series, with VWOLFS Foundation and Wild Telangana being behind the entire endeavour.
