Five day celebrations for 556th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak from Nov 1 to 5

Hyderabad: The Sikh community in Telangana is set to celebrate the 556th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev, founder of Sikhism and apostle of peace, with fervour from November 1 to 5, 2025.
Jointly organised by the Prabhandak committees of Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Afzalgunj, and Gurudwara Saheb, Secunderabad, the events aim to spread messages of harmony and devotion.
Kicking off with Nagar Keertans on November 1, at 4 pm from Gurudwara Saheb Secunderabad, the procession will pass through Clock Tower, Patny Circle, Monda Market, and Alpha Hotel.
A second procession follows on November 3 from Afzalgunj, winding through Siddiambar Bazar, Jambagh, and Gowliguda, echoing the same spiritual spectacle.
Event leaders, including presidents Satvinder Singh Bagga and S Baldev Singh Bagga, hailed the celebrations as a beacon of Guru Nanak’s timeless ideals during a press meet.
The 556th Prakash Utsav of Sri Guru Nanak Dev culminates on November 5, 2025, with a grand Vishaal Deewan that will be held at Nampally Exhibition Grounds from 10:30 am to 4 pm. Over 25,000 Sikh devotees and interfaith participants are expected to take part in the event.
