Five held for murder of rowdy sheeter in Hyderabad
Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar said the victim Syed Mushtaq recently shifted residence from Chaderghat to Humayunnagar, with his rowdy sheet also being transferred to the Humayunnagar police station
Hyderabad: Five persons allegedly involved in the murder of a rowdy sheeter at Chaderghat three days ago were arrested here on Monday. The police seized two motorcycles and two mobile phones from them.
The arrested persons were Mahmood Bin Alvi alias Bhainswala Mahmood (42) and Ayub Bin Alvi (33), both rowdy sheeters listed by the Chaderghat police, Hyder Ali Quadri (36), Mohd Zubair alias Shaik Zubair (25) and Vali Ahmed alias Baba (33).
Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar said the victim Syed Mushtaq recently shifted residence from Chaderghat to Humayunnagar, with his rowdy sheet also being transferred to the Humayunnagar police station. Mushtaq, who was involved in 30 cases registered in various police stations with the PD Act being invoked against him thrice, used to regularly visited the old Malakpet area where Mahmood and Ayub stayed and went around saying he would kill both of them. Following this, the five suspects hatched a plan and invited Mushtaq to Old Malakpet on Saturday. When he came they offered him alcohol and attacked him with lethal weapons resulting in his death, the Commissioner said.
The police caught them on Sunday night from near Akberbagh crossroads. They were produced before court and remanded.
