Adilabad: Five transgender persons were arrested on charges of causing inconvenience to passengers, threatening them and forcibly demanding money from them at the bus station here on Thursday.
Police said Shaik Mohammad alias Thaniya, Nagaram Mohan alias Nisha and Gedem Ashish alias Ashu, all from different parts of the district, and Shaik Saddam alias Simran and Siddiam Rohit alias Thanya, both from Maharashtra, were taken into custody for allegedly harassing passengers by forcibly demanding money.
Police cautioned that stern action would be taken against those who cause inconvenience to people by threatening them or forcibly demanding money.
