Karimnagar: Telangana State Planning Board Vice Chairman B Vinod Kumar on Thursday asked Satavahana University Vice-Chancellor S Mallesh to chalk out an action plan for all round development of the budding university and assured him of all assistance from the State government.
Prof S Mallesh, who assumed charge as the new Vice-Chancellor of the Satavahana University in Karimnagar town on Monday, made a courtesy call on Vinod Kumar at his residence in Hyderabad on Thursday. They discussed various issues pertaining to the University and its development.
Urging the V-C to take all measures to secure UGC 12B recognition for the University on priority basis, Vinod Kumar also directed the V-C to take up recruitment of all vacant teaching and non-teaching staff. He also instructed the V-C to take measures to bring out the creativity of student community by introducing job-oriented courses and make them job-ready by the time they leave the University.
Vinod Kumar directed the V-C to strengthen all government degree and PG colleges under the jurisdiction of the University. Prof Mallesh said Vinod Kumar was instrumental in securing the Pharmacy Council of India’s (PCI) recognition for the pharmacy college in the University.
