Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar inspected police patrol cars and Interceptor vehicles at the headquarters on Tuesday.
Addressing the police personnel, he said patrol car staff should follow the standing operating system prepared for patrol cars while discharging their duties.
The SOP includes surveillance over criminals, crime prevention, visible policing through foot patrolling, community policing, emergency response and anti-desecration drills.
Patrol officers should also check if criminal gangs from other areas are taking shelter anywhere temporarily, sign point books and update crime mapping applications, identify temporary crime hot spots and also frisk strangers moving suspiciously.
Anjani Kumar asked vehicle drivers to avoid accidents and to ensure proper maintenance of vehicles. He presented mementoes to six police personnel for good performance.
