Adilabad: A task force team from the Forest Department seized teak timber kept ready for smuggling in the forests of Gundala village, Echoda mandal, on Thursday. The value of the timber was assessed at Rs 90,000.
Forest officials said sleuths of the task force seized the timber following a tip-off. The smugglers fled the spot after felling the trees. A search has been launched to nab the offenders. A case has been registered and investigations are underway.
