Hyderabad: Former Indian football team captain Victor Amalraj has been nominated as the Brand Ambassador of the Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) for its Swachh Survekshan programme for 2021-22.
Speaking on the occasion Amalraj thanked SCB president Brigadier Abhijit Chandra and CEO Ajit Reddy for bestowing him with the honour. “Especially in these times of the Covid and its different forms such as the Omicron that is sweeping across the country now, it is important to maintain hygiene and cleanliness everywhere. I am glad that the SCB has embarked upon this plan which will help to keep the cantonment clean and green and thereby prevent the spread of the virus,” he said.
Amalraj has also been asked to help to develop football and other sports in the grounds within the SCB. The grounds are located at Bowenpally, Trimulgherry, Mud Fort and Bolaram.
