Former Manthani MLA Chandrupatla Ram Reddy passes away
Former Manthani MLA Chandrupatla Ram Reddy passed away while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad on Tuesday. The 80-year-old leader had a long political career, beginning as a sarpanch and later representing Manthani as a TDP MLA.
Peddapalli: Former Manthani MLA Chandrupatla Ram Reddy passed away on Tuesday morning while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad. He had been suffering from age-related health problems. He was 80.
A native of Khammampalli village in Mutharam mandal, Ram Reddy began his political career as a village sarpanch and later served as Mutharam mandal MPP.
In 1994, he was elected as the MLA from Manthani constituency on a TDP ticket.
He is survived by two sons. While the elder son is settled abroad, the younger son, Sunil Reddy, has entered politics and is associated with the BJP.
Leaders of various political parties, well-wishers and others expressed condolences over the demise of the former legislator.
The body of Ram Reddy will be shifted to Manthani on Tuesday, and the final rites will be performed on Wednesday.
