Hyderabad: Former Atchampet MLA Guvvala Balaraju resigned from the BRS and his position as the party president of Nagarkurnool district. He stated that he was leaving with no bitterness and complaints, but had only gratitude and respect.

In his resignation letter to BRS chief K Chandrashekhar Rao on Monday, Balaraju thanked the former for putting faith in him and giving him a platform to rise and serve the people of Telangana for nearly two decades. “I am forever thankful for the dignity and identity the party gave me,” he said.

Rumours are rife that Balaraju will join the BJP in a few days. However, he did not confirm the same.

Meanwhile, former MLA Marri Janardhan Reddy from Nagarkurnool refuted rumours that he had resigned from the BRS. He reiterated his loyalty to the BRS and its president, K Chandrashekhar Rao, vowing to continue in the party for the development of his constituency and the people of Telangana.
