Rajanna-Sircilla: Senior BRS leader and former MP B Vinod Kumar came down heavily on TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud for terming BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao’s Deeksha as a fake fast.
Vinod Kumar, who participated in the Deeksha Diwas programme held in Sircilla, reacted to TPCC chief’s comments against Chandrashekhar Rao. He said that anyone who knew two or three chapters of history would understand the situation. There were critics during the time of Mahatma Gandhi as well as Chandrashekhar Rao.
During the Uppu Satyagraha movement, critics claimed that Mahatma Gandhi had fled from the Sabarmati Ashram. They spread propaganda alleging that he had collected donations to build the Sabarmati Ashram and then ran away without returning the money. Similar accusations were spread then.
Referring to Mahatma Gandhi’s statement that either the country would get independence, or he would return to Sabarmati Ashram, he said Chandrashekhar Rao also made a similar statement, saying that either Telangana would be achieved, or KCR would die.
