Former Ranji cricketer Saibaba honoured with Best Social Activist award

Former Ranji cricketer and Sports Coaching Foundation founder-secretary Saibaba has been honoured with the Best Social Activist award at the National CSR Leadership Congress & Awards in Bengaluru. He has worked for 35 years to promote sports among children and youth.

Hyderabad: Former Ranji cricketer and founder-secretary of NGO Sports Coaching Foundation (Masab Tank), Saibaba, has been honoured with a prestigious Pan-India Award in the category of “Best Social Activist” at the National CSR Leadership Congress & Awards function held at Taj MG Road, Bengaluru.

Saibaba has received several national and international awards for his remarkable contribution to sports and social development.

“We remain committed to empowering deprived children and youth to take up sports,” said the former cricketer, who also received the prestigious President of India Award in 2015.

“As a sportsman with a mission, we continue to create opportunities and transform lives as we have been doing through sports for the past 35 years,” he said.

Interestingly, some of his acknowledged efforts include providing basic sports infrastructure in government schools across the twin cities free of cost.
