Hyderabad: Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajasekhar Reddy, along with Malkajgiri Lok Sabha MP Eatala Rajender, laid foundation stone for the construction of an additional vent for RuB No. 739 (Railway under Bridge) near Janapriya Apartments, between Alwal and Bollaram Bazaar Railway Station.
The project is being undertaken at a cost of Rs 6.6 crore. Railway officials DGM Santosh Kumar Verma, DGM (General) Uday Nath, and others participated in the programme.
Rajasekhar Reddy said the foundation stone laying was undertaken with the goal of freeing the Malkajgiri constituency from the railway bottleneck. He also revealed that foundation stones will soon be laid for Vajpayee Nagar and Gautam Nagar RuBs.
He explained that recently, with the cooperation of the Railway Department, several development works, including installation of a railway gate at Bhudevi Nagar, finalisation of the name for RK Nagar railway station, and sanctioning of an underground railway drainage system at Kothabasti, have been made possible without causing inconvenience to the public.
