Four arrested for thefts on TSRTC buses; 2.5 tolas of gold recovered
The arrested are Kamble Srinu (32), Md Mahboob (36), Vemula Srinu (45), and Kamble Vikas (22), all residents of Afzalsagar, Mallepally. Three of their associates, Vijay, Karan and Saddam are absconding.
Hyderabad: The Afzalgunj police on Wednesday arrested four persons who are allegedly involved in theft cases in TGRTC buses. The police recovered 2.5 tolas of gold from them.
The arrested are Kamble Srinu (32), Md Mahboob (36), Vemula Srinu (45), and Kamble Vikas (22), all residents of Afzalsagar, Mallepally. Three of their associates, Vijay, Karan and Saddam are absconding.
According to the police, the gang moved around in public transport buses and used to steal gold chains and wallets from the passengers. On a complaint on March 19, the Afzalgunj police registered a case and identified the gang members. “The gang targeted the passengers who were moving in the public transport buses and used to steal their phones, wallets and gold chains,” said Afzalgunj Inspector, N Ravi.
Efforts are on to identify the three suspects who are absconding.
