Four crore vaccine doses administered in Telangana

Hyderabad: In the fight against the Covid pandemic, Telangana on Thursday has achieved a significant milestone when it completed administering over 4 crore doses of Covid vaccines, which is the cumulative of first and second doses, to eligible persons.
Out of the 4 crore doses, roughly 2.7 crore were the first dose of Covid vaccines while the remaining 1.4 crore consisted of the second dose of the vaccine.
The State health wing has intensified its efforts to complete the administration of Covid vaccines by December. Authorities are aiming to achieve 100 percent administration of first dose and at least 70 percent of second dose of Covid vaccines among eligible persons in Telangana, by the end of December.
There are still nearly 18 lakh individuals in Telangana who are yet to get the first dose while another 23.5 lakh eligible persons who have exceeded the cut-off time limit to get the second dose of Covid vaccine.
