Four floodgates remain operational as Himayathsagar receives inflows
HMWSSB continued operating Himayat Sagar’s floodgates for a third day on Saturday as inflows reached 500 cusecs. Osman Sagar levels also rose, while GHMC reported Hussain Sagar’s inflows and outflows, alerting low-lying areas to possible waterlogging risks.

Hyderabad: For the third consecutive day, HMWSSB officials continued operating four floodgates in Himayathsagar as the reservoir received inflows.
According to HMWSSB’s release, the reservoir received 500 cusecs of inflows at 6 am on Saturday. The officials released 2070 cusecs of surplus water as outflow into the Musir River.
Regarding Osmansagar, the reservoir received 300 cusecs of inflows, and water levels were steadily rising.
Meanwhile, the GHMC released the status of the water levels of Hussain Sagar Lake recorded on Saturday at 10 am. The Lakes Division officials closely monitored the water levels of Hussain Sagar Lake and alerted the low-lying areas.
