Four held in Hyderabad for illegal sale of Amphotericin B vials

Hyderabad: Four persons including two doctors who were allegedly involved in illegal sale of Amphotericin B injections were caught by the Commissioner’s Task Force (North) on Monday. The police seized six vials, four mobile phones and Rs 29,600 from them.
Acting on a tip off, the team caught Dr Dubi Ramesh Kumar (35), who completed a BAMS course and was running a clinic at Saidabad, Dr Lingala Raghavendra (37), working in Nikhil Hospital and Indo US Hospital, Jallu Srikanth, (30) a pharmacist and Mohd Asad, (23) a medical technician at Medicover Hospital. Another suspect, Vutla Saidulu, was absconding.
“The five persons formed into a gang and were selling the injections at Rs 50,000 each,” said P Radha Kishan Rao, DCP (Task Force).
