Four Maoist cadres from Chhattisgarh arrested in Telangana’s Kothagudem

Caught near Taliperu dam area during vehicle inspections, 30 Maoist pamphlets seized from them

Kothagudem: The Cherla police and CRPF 141 battalion personnel arrested four Maoist cadres from Chhattisgarh, in Cherla mandal in the district on Friday.

Area committee member of the CPI (Maoist) party agriculture committee, Gattupalli Vura of Bijapur district; party members under the Jegurgonda area committee, Madkam Vunga of Sukma and Kadithe Lakke of Dantewada; and a party member under the Pamed area committee, Sodi Sukki of Sukma district; were arrested near the Taliperu dam area during vehicle inspections, according to an official release.

The police seized 30 Maoist pamphlets from them.

Recently, several Maoist leaders and cadres surrendered to police as the party has been losing public support.

Those who wish to live a normal life should quit the party and surrender by contacting their nearest police station or higher officials through their relatives or directly, the district police appealed to the underground cadres.
