Kamareddy: In yet another case of food poisoning in government-run schools in the State, four students of Scheduled Castes Boys’ Hostel in Jukkal mandal headquarters allegedly fell ill due to food poisoning on Friday.

According to reports, four students complained of stomach ache and vomiting after lunch. They were rushed to Banswada Area Hospital for treatment by the staff. A student of eight grade suffered severe stomach ache and was admitted to the hospital. The doctors treating the students said they suffered stomach ache due to uncooked rice. The doctors said the condition of the students was stable.

The school authorities informed the parents of the four students about the incident. Despite the number of food poisoning cases and loss of lives in government schools, the government was not waking up, the parents told the media.
