Hyderabad: Cyber fraudsters allegedly duped a man of Rs 1.1 lakh from his credit card, which was yet to be delivered to him by the bank.

A private employee from New Bowenpally had applied for a credit card from a private bank. On submitting necessary documents and completing the application process, he recently received a message on his mobile phone from the bank that the credit card has been dispatched and will be delivered to his address soon.

Police said a few days ago, he received a call from the fraudsters posing as the bank executives and on the pretext of storing his details in the bank database collected the OTP and duped him.

Based on his complaint, the Hyderabad Cybercrime police booked a case and are investigating.
