Becoming a model and/ or an actor is a dream for many youngsters but few can see it through. Hyderabad-based model Preetham Kalyan is one of those who manage to convert their dream to reality. The winner of ‘Mr India Super model of India 2021’ is now testing his luck in the Telugu film industry with his debut film, ‘Tholiswasa’, which is in post-production stage.

When he was taking care of the family business, Preetham’s friends suggested that he try modelling. And he did try by taking part in Mr South India and Mr Telangana, and won both the titles in 2019.

“I have no clue about modelling and acting, but after doing a bit of homework I got into modeling. I used to work out a lot to maintain my physique and have a proper diet which made me win these titles,” says this 26-year-old.

Preetham says, “It’s a moment of pride for me that I received this award from Mr World Rohit Khandelwal. He is such an amazing person and the honorable guest for RageNYou, India and Dubai-based company.”

As many as 120 contestants from over 20 cities participated in the contest – ‘Mr India Super model of India 2021 – which was held in Goa last year. So, Preetham feels that winning the title was a big deal.

“Beauty and fashion pageants are a great platform for individuals to build their confidence and make a difference. They are much more than just being beautiful; they are about being strong physically, mentally as well as emotionally. These platforms always encourage new talents,” he says.

“‘Mr India Super Model of India 2021’ is not just a beauty pageant, but a journey of transformation and self-growth. Our amazing panel members are achievers in their right and have served as an inspiration to our participants. This stage has given many newcomers a chance to be a part of fashion and entertainment. In addition to this, I received an award for ramp walk too,” concludes Preetham, who is excited about his soon-to-be-released film.
