Hyderabad: From QR codes to hall tickets on WhatsApp, the School Education department rolled out new initiatives for the SSC Public Examinations commencing March 14.
Starting this year, locating the Class X examination centres will no longer be a difficult task for students, as the hall tickets will feature a QR code embedded with the centre location details.
Students need to scan this QR code with a smartphone, which will navigate to Google Maps, where they can view a route map to their centre. In addition, they can ascertain the distance and estimated time to reach the venue.
As students often find it stressful to navigate to the centres, particularly on the first day of the exam, the department integrated QR codes with centre location details in the hall tickets, similar to the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education and TG EAPCET hall tickets.
Also, starting this year, the Class X exam hall tickets will be sent directly to the WhatsApp of the student’s registered mobile number. Students need to open the link, and upon validation, the hall ticket can be viewed and downloaded. Hall tickets will also be sent to the respective schools and made available on the SSC Board website https://bse.telangana.gov.in/
for download.
A total of 5,28,248 students, including 5,17,727 regular and 10,521 private candidates (once failed), have registered for the examinations, which will be conducted in 2,676 centres across the State from March 14 to April 16.
Hall tickets will be released by the end of this month, said Dr. E Naveen Nicolas, Director, School Education department. “Apart from subjects, this time, we have provided special learning material for languages to help students better prepare for the examinations,” he added.
