Hyderabad: The popular Sunday Funday event at Tank Bund has become a part of the weekly schedule of many families. Though the State government has stopped organising the event this Sunday owing to the Omicron situation, many families thronged Tank Bund and enjoyed the evening.

After police barricaded the road, people were seen enjoying the traffic-free bund road amid pleasant weather. Some parents dressed their children in winter wear and took them for a stroll on the refurbished pavement of the water body. Children were seen skating, cycling and driving toy cars on the road which usually is not possible on normal days. Youngsters too sat right in the middle of the road and captured the memories in their mobile.

The recently added amenity at the Tank Bund –the standing bench – turned out to be a major hit with many visitors taking selfies and posing for photographs on them. Meanwhile, stalls selling food and toys were also set up. The police teams were seen patrolling the entire stretch and monitoring the activity.
