Gachibowli Police nab former UoH student in drug supply case
Gachibowli Police and the Eagle Team nabbed former University of Hyderabad student Biswajit Kalita alias Biswa in a drug supply case. Police seized 5 grams of marijuana from him and are investigating the source of the ganja and possible involvement of others
Hyderabad: The Gachibowli Police, along with the Eagle Team, have nabbed Biswajit Kalita alias Biswa (28) in connection with a drug supply case.
A former student of the University of Hyderabad (UoH), Biswa is currently residing in Gopanpally and works as an actor trainer.
Police nabbed him on Tuesday on the campus and seized 5 grams of marijuana from him. He was reportedly absconding in a drug case booked earlier under Gachibowli Police Station.
The case was registered on August 7 after police received credible information about drug consumption at the Men’s-L Hostel on the campus.
During the investigation, a student allegedly told police that he had purchased 10 grams of dried ganja for Rs 500 from his friend, Biswa.
Based on the information, Gachibowli Police and the Eagle Team traced Biswa and nabbed him on the campus.
Police are now investigating the source of the ganja supply and the possible involvement of other persons in the network.
