Jogulamba Gadwal: Residents of Nettampadu in Dharoor mandal are spending anxious moments after three crocodiles were noticed moving close to the residential areas.

On Monday, residents noticed a six-foot-long crocodile gulping down a fish on the village fringes. They immediately lodged a complaint with forest department.

Of late, crocodiles’ movement in the village has left the residents, especially women tensed and panicked. Residents are fearing to step out of their houses early in the morning and late evenings due to the crocodiles scare.

Locals said last year also they had noticed a crocodile in the waterbody on the village fringe areas. This apart, two more crocodiles were also noticed in the same area .

Residents are demanding the forest officials to workout a permanent solution and ensure crocodiles movement into their village was prevented.
