Ganesh idol immersion in Hyderabad to be held on September 6 at Hussain Sagar
Ganesh idol immersion in Hyderabad will be held on September 6, coinciding with Anant Chaturdashi and marking the conclusion of the 10-day Vinayaka Chaturthi festival. Police and civic bodies will coordinate arrangements for a smooth and safe immersion process.
Hyderabad: As part of Vinayaka Chaturthi festivities, Ganesh idol immersion in the city will be on September 6.
Secretary of the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi, Shasidhar Ravinuthala, told Telangana Today that the immersion will be held on the 11th day, marking the end of the 10-day Ganesh Chaturthi festival. The immersion day also coincides with Anant Chaturdashi on September 6. As usual, the immersion will be held in Hussain Sagar Lake. Accordingly, the Ganesh pandals have to gear up for immersion.
The Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda commissionerates will chalk out plans to ensure the Ganesh idol immersion (Nimmajjan) is a smooth affair. The other government agencies, including TSSPDCL, GHMC, HMWSSB, Revenue, and other wings, will make elaborate arrangements, keeping in view the largest Ganesh immersion.
