Hyderabad: Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi on Thursday thanked the Supreme Court for allowing the immersion of Lord Ganesh idols made of Plaster of Paris (PoP), in Hussain Sagar and surrounding water bodies.

In a statement, the Samithi general secretary, Bhagavanth Rao said, “We wholeheartedly welcome the timely judgement which has taken care of the sentiments of lakhs of Hindu devotees. We would also like to thank the Government of Telangana for getting the permission for immersion of the PoP Ganapati idols in Hussain Sagar.”
