Hyderabad: Genelia Deshmukh flew down to Hyderabad to cast her vote during Movie Artistes Association (MAA) elections on Sunday. Soon after she arrived at the polling booth in Jubilee Hills, Genelia met her industry friends and key contestant Manchu Vishnu and later she also greeted Prakash Raj.
Speaking to the media, the ‘Bommarillu’ actress said that the Telugu film industry is very dear to her and people here are like her family. When asked to whom she would throw her weight behind, Genelia stated, “Only a good person would emerge victorious in the MAA elections and we all will witness a super president pretty soon.”
Meanwhile, election officer Krishna Mohan announced that the polling has been extended by another one hour. The decision was taken by the election officer after duly consulting with both the panels of Prakash Raj and Manchu Vishnu. With this, artistes have another one hour time in hand to exercise their franchise.
