GHMC approves Rs 2 crore per ward for civic development
The GHMC has approved a resolution to allocate Rs 2 crore for each of its 150 divisions to strengthen civic infrastructure. The funds are intended for improvements in roads, drainage, streetlights, pollution control, stormwater drains, parks, community halls, and other public amenities.

Hyderabad: Aiming to provide various civic amenities to the people of Greater Hyderabad, the GHMC general body meeting held on Tuesday, passed a resolution approving a proposal to allocate Rs 2 crore to each ward/division for development programmes across all 150 divisions within the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits.
As part of this budget allocation, Rs 1 crore has been allocated for works directly proposed by the corporator. An additional Rs 1 crore has been sanctioned for works proposed by the corporator in coordination with the district in-charge minister, as clarified by the GHMC.
Instructions have been issued to use these funds for the improvement of essential civic facilities such as roads, drainage, streetlights, pollution control, stormwater drains, parks, community halls, and public amenities.
