GHMC assures smooth Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations with enhanced arrangements
GHMC and police officials held a review meeting to ensure smooth Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations from August 27 to September 6, with focus on safety, road repairs, and quality infrastructure at pandals

Hyderabad: All out efforts including allocation of adequate budget will be taken-up to ensure smooth conduct of this year’s Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, GHMC Commissioner R V Karnan on Monday said.
The GHMC commissioner, who convened a coordination meeting with all major departments and members of Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi to review the arrangements, said that Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations will commence on August 27 and conclude on September 6 with the immersion.
“Keeping in view the ongoing rainy season, necessary repairs of National Highways for smooth movement of Ganesh idol processions would be carried out in the city.”
Additional CP (Law & Order) Vikram Singh Mann said that due to the rainy season, Ganesh pandal organizers must ensure they use quality materials and wiring for constructing the pandals and mandaps. He urged the installation of at least one CCTV camera at each mandap and deployed volunteers to regulate visitors in the queue lines.
