GHMC, CMC, MMC collect Rs 2,558 crore in property tax for 2025-26

The three major civic bodies of Hyderabad – GHMC, CMC and MMC – together collected Rs 2,558 crore in property tax for the 2025-26 financial year. Within GHMC, Khairatabad Zone emerged as the highest contributor.

Hyderabad: The three civic bodies – GHMC, CMC and MMC, together collected Rs 2,558 crore in property tax for the 2025-26 financial year, according to final figures released on Friday.

As per the final property tax collection, Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) stood at the top with Rs 1,000.36 crore, while Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) secured the second position with Rs 995.82 crore and Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC) settled in the third position with Rs 562.62 crore.

A press release stated that Khairatabad Zone stood at the top in the GHMC with Rs 436.61 crore followed by Golconda Zone with Rs 149.66 crore, Rajendranagar Zone with Rs 112.74 crore, Secunderabad Zone logging in Rs 122.7 crore, Shamshabad Zone collecting Rs 102.36 crore and Charminar Zone with Rs 71.75 crore .
