Empanelled civil contractors have warned GHMC, CMC and MMC officials that they will stop ongoing works if their pending bills are not cleared by March 21. Contractors say they are facing financial strain due to unpaid dues and delays in processing bills.
Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation has launched a WhatsApp facility to allow citizens to register complaints related to garbage, green waste and overflowing bins. Residents can send photos and location details to the designated number for quick action by civic officials.
The first standing committee meeting following the trifurcation of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) was chaired by Special Officer Jayesh Ranjan with commissioners of the newly formed Cyberabad, Malkajgiri and Greater Hyderabad Corporations.
The Metropolitan Area & Urban Development Department has reorganised the GHMC into three separate municipal corporations. Orders were issued early Wednesday, following which Jayesh Ranjan assumed charge as Special Officer for all three.
Following the reorganisation of Hyderabad’s civic administration, the GHMC has been divided into 30 circles across six zones, while Cyberabad and Malkajgiri municipal corporations have been allotted 16 and 14 circles respectively, spread across three zones each.
