Hyderabad: Inadequate sanitation facilities in Hyderabad was one issue that united all the corporators during the GHMC general body meeting.
Irrespective of their political affiliations, the corporators pointed to the accumulation of garbage, irregular waste collection and lack of maintenance in public spaces.
They also warned of a shortage of sanitation workers, insufficient sweeping machinery, unclean garbage vulnerable points (GVPs) and the failure of Ramky management to keep the city clean.
Responding to the plethora of complaints, Additional Commissioner (Health & Sanitation) CN Raghu Prasad said, “Steps would be taken to improve the situation and regular monitoring would be implemented to ensure better sanitation standards across the city.”
