Hyderabad: For the Bathukamma festivities, the GHMC is gearing up to distribute 8,90,019 sarees on behalf of the State government.

The floral festival is to commence from October 6 and the civic body has already received 4,82,120 sarees and identified 506 distribution points across the city.

“These locations are located in 17 out of the 30 GHMC circles and more distribution centres will be set up in the remaining circles. Godowns have also been shortlisted and incharges have been appointed,” said a GHMC official.
