GHMC hosts Vikalangula Karya Sankalpa on World Disabled Day in Hyderabad

Malkajgiri Municipal Deputy Commissioner Raju, Malkajgiri Corporator Shravan Kumar, and DPO Mallikarjun among others also took part in the event.

Hyderabad: Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajasekhar Reddy urged people to treat the disabled with a positive attitude and consider them equal without discrimination.

Participating in Vikalangula Karya Sankalpa (Vikasam) organized by GHMC Malkajgiri Circle as part of World Disabled Day here on Tuesday, Reddy said the disabled were the inspirations for the society and that he would support them in every matter. He presented tricycles to the disabled.

From inaccessible infrastructure to social stigma and discrimination, there were barriers for disabled, he said, adding that with the right support, resources, and mindset, people with disabilities can achieve greatness.
