GHMC official inspects dumping yards, stresses waste management
GHMC Additional Commissioner T Vinay Krishna Reddy inspected dumping yards in Ghatkesar and reviewed solid waste management and sanitation measures. He directed officials to ensure strict cleanliness standards and also reviewed animal birth control and street dog management.
Hyderabad: GHMC Additional Commissioner T Vinay Krishna Reddy on Thursday visited the Annojiguda, Ghatkesar and Nagaram dumping yards in Ghatkesar and directed officials to ensure that there are no lapses in solid waste and sanitation management, and that cleanliness standards are strictly adhered to.
He reviewed solid waste management practices, cleanliness measures and waste segregation processes at the dumping yards. He also inspected the ABC (Animal Birth Control) centre and the dry resource collection centre in the Ghatkesar circle.
Discussions were also held with officials on measures being taken to control street dogs at the ABC centre and on expediting necessary actions for animal welfare.
