A gas cylinder explosion inside a Maruti Omni van caused a fire near Annojiguda in Ghatkesar on Friday. The vehicle crashed into a petrol bunk, but quick action by staff prevented a major disaster. No injuries were reported.
The suspect, Umesh Naik (23) against whom a history sheet is being maintained by the Rachakonda police, threatened a 30-year-old woman from Bihar who was residing with her children at Annojiguda.
