GHMC plans to introduce common bill for property tax, water and electricity
The GHMC is set to introduce a unified billing system covering property tax, water and electricity to improve transparency and ease of communication. GHMC will map property tax identification numbers (PTINs) with TGSPDCL records through a joint door-to-door survey starting February 1.

Hyderabad: The GHMC is planning to introduce a common bill for property tax, water and electricity to make billing and communication easier and transparent.
GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan has instructed the zonal commissioners and deputy commissioners on this and said in a recent review meeting, the Chief Minister, A Revanth Reddy, instructed MA&UD to examine a proposal to introduce a common bill for electricity, water/drainage and property tax.
Accordingly, it was decided to map mobile numbers of PTINs (property tax identification numbers) with that of TGSPDCL. The GHMC zonal commissioners and deputy commissioners have to gear up their field staff in their respective zones to conduct a joint door-to-door survey assisted by TGSPDCL meter readers starting from February 1 to integrate mobile numbers of GHMC PTINs.
The Deputy Commissioners have to send bill collectors to accompany the TGSPDCL meter readers and update mobile numbers of all the PTINs in the handheld machines, and ensure that the survey was completed by February 15.
