Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police Commissioner, Anjani Kumar asked people to be vigilant and expose the communal minds trying to create disturbances in the city during these important times of election.

Taking to Twitter on Thursday, he said, “Hyderabad city is in election mode. All leaders are working hard to win the hearts and votes of community. Election is the temple of democracy. But during such times there are some evil minds that are working to create communal issues though social media. Do not believe them. Inform us”.

The Commissioner requested the citizens to expose the communal minds trying to disturb the city during these important times of election. They were using social media to spread fake news and let us join hands to keep city safe and happy, he said.

The city police asked people to approach the Cybercrime and pass on expletive and hate messages circulated on social media platforms not only by locals based in city but also those based outside the State so as to track them down.

“Criminal action will be initiated against such elements after tracking them down with the use of technology. Previously also we have done it and will continue to nab them (hate mongers) and sent to jail,” Anjani Kumar.

The city police formed special teams which are working round-the-clock to monitor the social media platforms and initiate action against those trying to vitiate the atmosphere of the city.
