Voters with physical challenges, those aged 80 years and above and mothers with children in arms will be allowed directly into the polling station irrespective of regular queues. Also, the differently-abled electors, voters above 80 years and Covid-19 positive can cast their vote either physically at the polling station or use postal ballot during the GHMC elections on December 1.
Active Covid-19 positive voters who have not used postal ballot will be allowed to exercise their franchise at polling stations concerned at last hours i.e. from 5 pm to 6 pm on the day of poll. However, all required precautions would be taken including wearing of mask, face shield and hand gloves by the Covid-19 positive voter, the circular read.
