GHMC removes 9,840 tonnes of waste in mega sanitation drive

Hyderabad: The GHMC’s special mega sanitation drive is being carried out intensively covering 6,255 areas, points, foot over bridges, flyovers, garbage vulnerable points and parks within 300 wards under its jurisdiction.
A GHMC official release on Friday said an additional 7,372 metric tonnes of waste and 2,468 metric tonnes of construction waste, totalling 9,840 metric tonnes of extra waste, have been removed.
Zonal Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners supervised the drive on the ground.
