GHMC sanitation drive focuses on lakes and nalas

Hyderabad: The GHMC’s special sanitation drive progressed intensively, with officials conducting focused cleaning of lakes and nalas in the city on the fourth day, Friday.

The drive began on February 3 and covered 579 areas in 300 wards under the GHMC jurisdiction over four days. An additional 427 metric tonnes of waste and 122 metric tonnes of construction waste, totalling 549 metric tonnes of extra waste was removed, the civic body said.
