GHMC staffer in ACB trap for accepting bribe

The official, M Sunitha, working as a senior assistant in the property tax wing at Moosapet Circle 23, GHMC, demanded a bribe of Rs 30,000 over a property tax issue from the complainant

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau officials caught a GHMC senior assistant red-handed when she demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 30,000 from a person for doing official work.

The official, M Sunitha, working as a senior assistant in the property tax wing at Moosapet Circle 23, GHMC, had demanded the money for showing official favour and ‘to initiate and process the property mutation file and fix the property tax.’


On a complaint, the ACB registered a case and caught the official when she was accepting the bribe. The official is arrested and is being produced before the court.
