GHMC undertakes sanitation drive near Charminar ahead of Ramzan
Ahead of Ramzan, GHMC carried out special sanitation drives around Charminar and Mecca Masjid, ensuring clean streets, cleared footpaths and improved hygiene for worshippers and visitors, with teams working round the clock to maintain cleanliness standards
Hyderabad: A day before the holy Ramzan festival, the GHMC sanitation wing took up sanitation work in and around Charminar and the historic Mecca Masjid precincts.
In a press release, GHMC Commissioner R V Karnan on Friday stated that special sanitation drives were undertaken to ensure thorough cleaning of surrounding streets, removal of debris, sweeping, and sanitation of public spaces to provide a hygienic and clean environment for worshippers and visitors.
Footpaths and key access routes were cleared and maintained, while sanitation teams worked round the clock to enhance overall cleanliness standards in the area, it said.
