GHSPCA to build multi-speciality animal hospital at Begum Bazar
The GHSPCA is constructing a multi-speciality animal hospital and shelter in Begum Bazar, Hyderabad, slated for completion by July 2026. The facility will offer free treatment to rescued animals and birds.

Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (GHSPCA) is setting up a multi-specialty Animal Hospital and Shelter at Begum Bazar.
The bhumi pujan for the proposed facility was done with Guru Abhinandansagar Ji Maharaj in the presence of Telangana Forest Department OSD, Sakaran. The GHSPCA will provide treatment to all rescued animals and birds free of cost.
The hospital and shelter for animals is scheduled to be ready by July 2026. Among other facilities, it will have an operation theatre, X-ray room, pharmacy, out-patient and in-patient wards and a recovery room.
The hospital will have facilities for special care of birds, stretcher lifts, consultation room and a seminar hall to hold programmes aimed at spreading awareness.
Estimated to cost Rs 1.60 crore, the hospital and shelter construction costs are completely being met with donations. Those interested in making donations for the cause can contact the GHSPCA team.
The GHSPCA will also have coordination with Forest department to treat wild animals, reptiles and birds.
