GITAM collabs with TCS, LVPEI to launch industry-oriented courses
BSc Computer Sciences (Cognitive Systems) and B Com (Business Process Management) will be launched in association with TCS while B Optometry (Bachelor of Optometry) is being introduced in collaboration with LV Prasad Eye Institute.
Sangareddy: GITAM Deemed-to-be University has entered into separate MoUs with IT services giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) to launch three collaborative programmes from the 2021-22 academic year.
BSc Computer Sciences (Cognitive Systems) and B Com (Business Process Management) will be launched in association with TCS while B Optometry (Bachelor of Optometry) is being introduced in collaboration with LV Prasad Eye Institute. B Sc and B Com programmes will enable the students to establish a productive career in IT / ITeS / ITIS companies by combining theory with hands-on practice.
Optometry is the science of examination, diagnosis, treatment, and management of eyes on invasive visual disorders, including lenses and spectacles for improving vision. The course will enable students to become competent professionals and be part of the healthcare team as an optician and Optometrist.
