GITAM University names Errol D’Souza new Vice Chancellor
A renowned professor of Economics, Dr D'Souza was former director of IIM-Ahmedabad
Sangareddy: The GITAM University appointed Errol D’Souza as the new Vice Chancellor. He is set to take charge this month.
Dr D’Souza, a distinguished academic and former director of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A), was introduced to the staff members by GITAM president M Sribharat during a special townhall online meeting. In his address, Sribharat welcomed Dr D’Souza’s appointment and observed that he closely aligns with GITAM’s vision.
Dr D’Souza is a renowned professor of Economics, serving as the IFCI Chair Professor at the University of Mumbai and the India Chair Professor at Sciences Po in Paris.
He earned his PhD from the Jawaharlal Nehru University and holds an MA in Economics from the University of Mumbai, where he was awarded the Kashinath Trimbak Telang gold medal for academic excellence.
