Gitanjali Devashray: Cabinet elected for various disciplines

Gitanjali Devashray celebrated its 18th Founder’s Day and Proficiency Awards on June 29 with much aplomb. The virtual programme witnessed the participation of the management, heads, staff, parents, and students.

Tiny tots of pre-primary welcomed the gathering with a prayer dance. The event started with the reminiscence about the history of the school way back in 2003 when it was the residence of the founders, chairman Uma Karan and founder principal and director of Gitanjali Group of Schools Gita Karan. The address by Gita Karan ignited positivity and motivation in minds of the viewers.

She urged the newly elected cabinet members to take the legacy of the school, onward. The elected cabinet members included the head boy and head girl, deputy head boy and deputy head girl, captains and vice-captains for various disciplines like sports, literary, environment, cultural, student editor and, quiz. Captains and deputies of the four houses were also invested, as was the discipline committee. The primary cabinet also added value to the council.

The administration of the oath by the managing director Jai Karan rendered a solemn note. Students from class VI added sheen to the event with their peppy dance moves. This was appreciated by all at the event. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks and a rendition of the National Anthem.
