Gitanjali Devashray Celebrates unity in diversity

The students of grade VI of Gitanjali Devashray participated in a Social Studies activity based learning programme promoting national integration. They dressed up in traditional outfits of the States they belonged to and shared interesting information about the States with their fellow learners. They spoke about food, customs, festivals, places to visit and other salient features of their State. With such events the school

hopes to promote values of tolerance, understanding, empathy and a feeling of oneness in the student body. The session was both enlightening and entertaining due to the enthusiastic participation of the children. The support of the parents was encouraging and their feedback showed that the activity was a grand success. This was a wonderful opportunity for the students to capture the essence of India, truly as a nation of unity in diversity.
